Jason Foster runs Masonic Street Laundry in Northampton, MA, a busy neighborhood laundromat. For years, his machines only accepted coins. When he invested in a new washer, he wanted to add card acceptance to it. “I was shocked and horrified, in fact flabbergasted, that it did not include credit card capabilities, which I thought it did. Within a week I’d discovered PayRange was the perfect solution for what I was looking for.”  Jason explained.

The simplicity of the hardware was really appealing. Jason installed the BluKey devices himself. They go inside machines, so there are no contact points to wear out or keep free of lint. Customers download the PayRange app that connects via Bluetooth to the machine, eliminating the worry of Wi-Fi and the hassle of coins or expensive external card readers.

The results came quickly. “Revenue has increased about 15 to 20%,” Jason shared, “My customers love it. They tell me ‘I’m here because you accept credit cards.’” Beyond higher sales, data insights give Jason the ability to see what’s happening at a moment’s notice. If machine usage patterns change, he can be alerted to potential problems to quickly address. “I have peace of mind when I’m not in my unattended laundromat. I always want to know what’s happening in my laundromat.” stated Jason.
